Ca s’Enginyer Comes

Traditional Mallorcan style house, with a 19th century façade, covered with lime mortar, inlaid with stone and a semicircular arched doorway with voussoirs. On the 8th of January 1911, the engineer Bartomeu Comes gave a conference in sa Pobla on the convenience of providing electricity to sa Pobla. Shortly afterwards, on 24th July 1912, the electric lighting bulbs were switched on in the Plaça Major, a work directed by the engineer Ordines

Gabriel Capó i Caimari (a) Botilla is the founder of the Museum of Electricity in Mallorca, located in sa Pobla. VET teacher at the Joan Taix Centre in sa Pobla. ASINEM Award 2017. Founder of the Gaviota de TV Association. He has dedicated a large part of his life to collecting electrical material.
