Can Flor
Traditional Mallorcan style house, built at the end of the 18th century, made up of several building blocks. The main doorway stands out, inserted in an old semicircular arch and the living stone corner.
The Flor family has played an important role in our village over the years. In the magazine Sa Marjal (1909-1928) we find constant reviews: Mayor Jaume Andreu Andreu (a) Flor, who held the post between 1863 and 1867, is the one who had the clock built in the town hall. In its marshland we have the Can Flor road that leads us to the road from Artà to Pollença. In September 1922 we find that Joana Andreu Cladera (a) Flor, died unmarried at the age of 68, she was very pious. She had a well-attended funeral. She left the fortune of three thousand duros to found a scholarship in the Seminary for the poor students of sa Pobla and one thousand duros more in her nuns.
