Son Monjo

Mallorcan-style house. The semicircular arch with stone voussoirs and jambs stands out, with the date 1837 on the upper part. The façade is made of regular stone ashlars, with a large overhang, also made of stone. The pobler writer Joan Torres i Gost in his book Una vuelta a sa Plaça, pages 58-62, speaks of the Son Monjo building and family in one of his stories.

Local authors. History and literature:
Son Monjo was a bachelor's house of little significance for the village and for the square. There were four brothers, only one of whom married. A return to the square, by Joan Torres Gost (1900-1979); epidemiological doctor, writer. Trained in Germany in the 1930s.
